Our Services
We treat patients with the following general conditions and symptoms:
Lung cancer
It is recognised that detection, diagnosis treatment of all types of cancer has been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. However there is concern that lung cancer might be one of the worst affected due to a combination of factors, including overlapping symptoms with COVID-19 and specific pressures on respiratory health-care services caused by the pandemic.
Dr Jayadev has extensive experience in managing lung cancer patients, including monitoring of lung nodules and those with complex pleural disease. She is a specialist in Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) – Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (TBNA) a procedure useful for the diagnosis and staging of lung cancer. It can be used to directly biopsy central and mediastinal tumours and take samples from lymph nodes to help stage disease.
Long Covid
It has been recently reported that there are over one million patients suffering from the long term’s effects of Covid-19. As a doctor who has worked on the front line throughout the pandemic Dr Jayadev has had hands on experience in managing acute respiratory failure as well as COVID rehab and follow up. In line with national recommendations, all patients admitted with COVID pneumonitis require follow up. However, with only the sickest patients being admitted, there have been a large proportion of patients affected in the community that may benefit from COVID rehab and follow up that did not meet referral criteria. Dr Jayadev has worked with the physiotherapy team at Genesis care to devise a COVID rehab programme, where patients can be referred after their ‘post covid review’ when appropriate. Analysis of our cohort of NHS patients that received review and rehab post discharge, all had an improvement in their exercise tolerance, with improved incremental shuttle walk test (ISWT) and endurance test (ESWT) with reduction in depression scores and 100% satisfaction.
Any patient still symptomatic from COVID 4 weeks after infection can be seen for follow up and potentially referred for rehab after assessment.

SLEEP MEDICINE
Obstructive sleep apnoea is common affecting an estimated 1.5 million adults in the UK and yet up to 85% are undiagnosed therefore untreated. In her sleep clinic Dr Jayadev works with a dedicated team to diagnose and treat patients with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) and other suspected sleep related breathing disorders. We can perform overnight sleep studies and have access to further investigations where necessary.
